We were approached by Lisa Ephson and Tom Helme of Carskiey House to upholster and restore a range of pieces for their newly restored home on the Mull of Kintyre. Our first big commission as a new company, this work was well timed and their words of encouragement were very much appreciated. We spent a very pleasant sunny weekend delivering and working in situ.
This gorgeous house was the summer home of a member of the Paisley Coats family, built around the period when Coats was the largest company in the British Empire and third largest in the world after Standard Oil and US Steel. The house is beautifully constructed of the highest quality, but is restrained and elegant. The views...the trees absolutely stuffed full of birds. A place to fall in love with.
The main house and the cottage by the sea are available for rent.
Carskiey House and Shore Cottage form part of Carskiey Estate's 7,500 remote and private acres including the famous Mull of Kintyre, on the west coast of Scotland
